Neohumanism

Neohumanism is the culture of love for all created beings of the universe, animate and inanimate: all people (regardless of gender, race, culture or religion), animals, plants, the planet, and the entire universe. It is the philosophy of the innate oneness of all things, expanding racial, national, cultural, religious and other limiting sentiments to embrace humanity as one whole family. It challenges limiting beliefs and dogmas that separate people, and is against any kind of exploitation of one group by another. Neohumanism expands our feeling of love for family, friends, pets, etc. into love for all people, animals, plants and inanimate matter of the world. And not only of this planet but throughout the entire universe too. It elevates the feeling of humanism to universalism, expanding the love of the human heart to embrace the entire living and non-living world, and fosters the recognition that all are manifestations of the one infinite consciousness of the universe. Recognition of this shared heritage of all life develops deep empathy and compassion for all creatures of the world, the feeling that all have the right to live and thrive as much as we do, and forms the basis for a new educational movement called Neohumanist Education which emphases the importance of ethics, personal integrity, character-building, spiritual practice and creativity, as well as academic learning.
