Scotty Cameron is introducing three new Phantom mallet putters that all feature a precision-milled full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert that brings distinct features. As always, the new models are Tour inspired and will come in the Phantom 5, 7 and 9R with nine unique putter head, neck and shaft combinations for exceptional performance. This next generation of Scotty Cameron putters has been an adaptation to the market and where the company sees the market growing. “The popularity of mallets continues to grow, both on tour and with dedicated golfers everywhere,” Austie Rollinson, Scotty Cameron’s Senior Director of putter R&D, said. “With so many different players looking to take advantage of mallet designs, we need to provide multiple options that all perform – while looking and feeling every bit as good. There’s no one right way to putt and the new Phantom line is a great example of that.” The newest models will have the chain-link face milling that was introduced in the 2025 lineup of Studio Style putters, but will be in the form of a full-face insert in Phantom. The insert helped give the putters a more fine-tuned sound while preserving ball speeds off the face. The chain-link milling help reduce the number of touchpoints with the golf ball at impact, which leads to a softened sound while maintaining feel. The Phantom 5 is a modern wingback mallet with a compact profile that has a single sightline for alignment and will be offered in the low-torque Onset Center configuration, as well. The Phantom 7 is a sharp-angled wingback mallet with a larger footprint from front to back than the Phantom 5 and has rail-like alignment with its lower wings. Finally, the Phantom 9R is a softer, more rounded shape that has two alignment cues. This latest iteration of Phantom putters will have a taller face height and an increased radius on the topline to give it better visuals at address. It will also feature a flatter sole design with more surface area to help with a repeatable setup. In addition to the shaping, the Phantom putters will have a double-bend shaft configuration in the Phantom 7, an Onset Center option in the Phantom 5 OC, a plumbing neck with the Phantom 5, 7 and 9R, a mid-bend shaft in the 5 and 9R and a jet neck configuration with the 5 and 7 models. The jet neck is modified to have a less aggressive forward lean, which helps produce a more subtle look at address. It’s also longer to achieve the same offset and toe flow that was offered in the previous generation. The putters will come in stock length options at 33, 34 and 35-inches with 3.5 degrees of loft and 70 degree lie angle, equipped with a gray Full Contact grip.
