"This feels like an ending...it doesn't have to be an ending yet, right"...when con chair Shir Goldberg annnounced at BronyCon 2018 that the convention was coming to an end the next year, it was a pretty big bombshell for us to take especially with how they lured us in with the news that BronyCon 2019 was going to be a four-day event that year instead of your usual three days. But when they followed it up with the news that it was also gonna be the last BronyCon, let's just say people didn't take it well and I'll be completely honest when I say that I'm right there with you guys. I will admit, I was initially shocked with the news first broke. But after thinking about the situation and shedding some tears with my best friends in the fandom, I just saw the writing on the wall and was like "yep, Friendship Is Magic is ending". I first went to BronyCon in 2015 two years after it went to Baltimore and I didn't know what to expect in 2015. And through the years, I've seen a lot of ups and downs. Now five years later, this is where the road ends. But make no mistake of it, we are about to witness the largest ever attendance rate for this convention. What will this event bring? Today is the day we find out. There will be laughs, there will be tears and together we will make sure that the convention that started it all for the fans of My Little Pony gets the send-off that it rightfully deserves.
