We explore when John Tyler served as President from 1841 to 1845. John Tyler became President after his predecessor, William Henry Harrison, died of pneumonia after a month in office! A first in US Presidential history! Life in the White House wasn’t easy for Tyler as his Whig Party expelled him. Tyler did manage end to end the Second Seminole War and get Florida admitted to the union and he made Texas annexation a priority. He also helped normalize relations with Canada.
