Finally got my chance to duck into this corner of the woods again after over 4 years! Early entry Patsy's is a classic poorly-kept secret among the Snowdon glades, with more trees and steeper drops abound for those looking from a step up from the admittedly pretty tame "official" entrance further down Frolic. My skis definitely didn't have as good of a time as I did on this run, but I'm really happy with this recording and will definitely be going back to this pocket again when there's more snow! Advice: It depends where you go, but there are some really tight turns and low-hanging branches if you (don't) know where to look. Of note is the little offchute to skier's left at 0:46, which I foolishly followed tracks down the first time today and got stuck in a very sticky situation. Otherwise, I would generally recommend making your way to the left the whole time to get away from neighboring North Star. Also beware some unexpected drops from the bike paths. There is another similarly obvious entrance a little further down Frolic (but still before the marked entrance), though I'd imagine it's less maintained than the more popular way I took. Legend has it there is a late entry Patsy's as well, though I've never tried - this whole stretch of woods is up for grabs though! Overall Difficulty: 5/10 Relative Difficulty (Diamond): 8/10 Difficulty Comparison: Harder than Somewhere and Low Rider, easier than The Throne and Big Dipper Accessibility Rating: 7/10 (Right off the two Snowdon lifts, but obviously with no signage) Open Trail Index: 2/10 (Usually much sketchier than regular Patsy's, though it's your judgement since they don't usually rope it off) Enjoyment Rating: 10/10
