*WATCH ON 4K DISPLAY FOR BEST EXPERIENCE* Honestly, Doom 2016 was the perfect first game to demonstrate the PC monitor for two reasons: 1. Doom is lightning-fast, so it's a perfect demonstration of CRT motion clarity. 2. Doom is perfectly optimized, which is great for showing off this monitor's 1536p capabilities on my painfully dated rig. The recording didn't come out quite as great as I hoped, as the moire pattern is very distracting. No doubt, this was caused by exceeding the monitor's dot pitch resolution, which by my math is around 1350x813. I also couldn't find a way to get rid of the CRT beam artifacts like I could with the TV. Even the gameplay is sub-optimal, since I could barely see anything on my end and I played at a crooked angle. I have to turn the contrast all the way down to 15% just so the footage looks somewhat similar to what I see at 90%. I don't even want to imagine how hard it would be to play Doom 3 like this.
