I spent a day with my Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Ehrhardt. Cheryl and I love the Jan Karon Mitford books so we decided to bake together the famous orange marmalade cake that is given to so many people in the fictional town of Mitford. In the books, Esther shares the cake with those who may need a little extra love and support. I do believe baking is a type of ministry— for the bakers, as well as for the people who enjoy the delicious treats! When Krista picks Calvin up after school, he always asks for "a special treat.” This was my "special treat" to be able to bake this cake with Cheryl! Enjoy our video!!
