20 years of friendship ruined.. colliding with my best man. MX5 racing at Silverstone March 2024

Great to be back in action in the first race of the season in the BRSCC MX5 Clubman Championship at the home of british motorsport, Silverstone! Qualifying was wet which saw number 99 starting P5 with a shot at a first podium finish. The weather had other ideas, the track for race 1 was mostly dry so the guys who were faster in the dry started to come through. Sadly, I found myself with very little grip going round the outside at Vale on the final lap, which pitched me into a spin to be collected by an unsighted Matthew Crozier, 848, as I gathered things up. Deemed to be a racing incident and hindsight is 20/20.
