There are a number of advantages to using a Glidecam instead of an Electronic Gimbal. The main reason for me was being able to keep my BMPCC 6K rig together when filming, without having to break it down. I wanted to keep the external hard drive, rails, matte box and larger battery option on my rig. This meant that using an Electronic Gimbal like the Dji Ronin S wasn't an option.
