When partnered with the Voigt mains energised drive unit, the Domestic Corner Horn caused a sensation when it made its debut. The quality of sound and high efficiency eclipsed everything else on the market at that time. The design was constantly being improved by Voigt over its long production. Due to the materials used and labour involved, these cabinets were not cheap to manufacture. They were originally available in unfinished white wood at £17-5s-d or in other veneered and stained finshes on request. A de-luxe walnut veneered version was also available at a higher price. No blue-print was ever available because of the complexity of the cabinet's design. It is thought that around only 330 Voigt Domestic Corner Horns were ever manufactured.
