Charlie McCready, Parental Alienation Coach, interview Melanie Gill, a Psychologist and Attachment Theory expert. Together they tackle the issue of people and groups who deny that Parental Alienation exists Any parent who is experiencing Parental Alienation will be naturally angered that such people and groups have such limited mindsets, unable to appreciate that this impacts tens of millions of people around the world. In the week that we did the interview. Both Mel and Karen Woodall were publicly attacked for being professional practitioners who were actively helping families deal with Parental Alienation. Here is the response that Mel shared publicly:- "My name is Melanie Gill. For over 17 years I have worked as an attachment specialist, psychologist, and forensic consultant in family courts. I specialised in cases involving accusations of parental alienation. Over the last 4 years I have been subjected to a witch hunt by a number of journalists and 2 Clinical psychologists representing the Association of Clinical Psychologists ( ACP) who accused me of not being qualified to do the work or call myself a psychologist. The accusations culminated in the High Court in 2022 and 2023; I won costs against a parent and the ACP. The witch hunt did not stop, and more accusations have been published since then. I was told that new allegations were set to be published across media outlets in the UK. This then happened on the 30th of January 2025. A list of my ‘wrongdoing’ going back over 20 years had been put before me. My experience of the 2 journalists involved is that they are unable to report fairly or accurately, a view also taken by a High Court Judge in the UK in December about their reporting on his case and other matters. I have had enough of this and so wanted to be open about what I have been accused of, to try to give support all the other professionals, organisations, and above all families who are being silenced by an agenda to control the narrative on what happens in these cases. What is actually going on across the world to millions of children must not be silenced or eradicated."
