Penetration and expansion test of the Underwood Ammo 10mm 180 gr Gold Dot JHP using a diluted form of SIM-TEST Ballistic Testing Media. This was my first 10mm test. The test block structure is comparable to ballistic gel, and includes four layers of denim. The inclusion of denim is an IWBA protocol. Ammo was purchased from Underwood Ammo at $29.73 for a box of 50 rounds, plus shipping. Video includes brief overview of the cartridge, recoil shots, and one shot test. Post-shot evaluation shows bullet path through the block, average diameter, and retained weight. Test gun is a Glock 20SF with a 4.61" barrel. Advertised velocity is 1300 FPS. Chronograph velocites are noted in the video.
