#WalkingThroughThePain

Episode 10 of my series, A Walk Around The San Francisco Bay, continues on October 29, 2024, with the beautiful sunrise I had at the Faber Marsh Fishing Area/Camp in the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay Preserve in East Palo Alto at Mile 7,995. With rain forecasted off and on starting tomorrow night, I’ve adjusted my plans and won’t be heading up to a ridge. Instead, I’ll find a spot along the bay or take transit to Ocean Beach. Before leaving, I make sure to Leave No Trace. I walk through the wildlife preserve toward Ravenswood Open Space Preserve, spotting local wildlife along the way. Soon, I arrive in Menlo Park, where I pass by the Meta Facebook headquarters and continue on a bike path until reaching Bedwell Bayfront Park. By then, I’ve walked five miles and hit Mile 8,000, so I pause to enjoy some cannabis in celebration. While I could camp here, I decide to hike one more mile to a bus stop a block from the park, where I catch a local transit to one of my favorite camp spots on Ocean Beach in San Francisco. The next morning, October 30, I wake up to a stunning ocean sunrise at Mile 8,001. Afterward, I’ll head back to my friend’s place in downtown San Francisco to ride out the upcoming rain. I close this episode with the usual invitation to come walk a mile with me and experience the magic. After the credits, there’s a bonus clip I captured from the Día de los Muertos Procession in the Mission District on November 2. #WalkingThroughThePain® #WalkingThroughThePain #selfproduced #SCunnigan #documentarian #backpacking #ChronicPainWarrior #fibromyalgia #FibroSucks #NotStuckInBed #SanFranciscoBay #BayAreaHiking #HikingAdventure #NatureWalks #WildlifePreserve #SunriseViews #LeaveNoTrace #OceanBeachSF #CelebrateLife #Mile8000 #CannabisCulture #cannabisismedicine #BedwellBayfrontPark #MissionDistrictSF #DayoftheDead #DiaDeLosMuertos #MenloPark #EastPaloAlto #ExploreCalifornia
