Mike Kehoe was sworn in as Missouri’s 58th Governor on Jan. 13, 2025. Guided by a lifelong commitment to public service and Missouri families, he has made public safety, education, economic development, and agriculture the cornerstones of his administration. Before becoming governor, Kehoe served as Missouri’s 48th lieutenant governor from 2018 to 2025 and previously represented the state’s sixth senatorial district, including time as Senate majority leader. In the legislature, he worked to balance budgets, fully fund schools, cut taxes, reduce regulations, and pass laws protecting children and seniors. Raised by a single mother as the youngest of six children, Kehoe learned the value of hard work early. He began washing cars at 15 and rose through the automotive industry to become one of the youngest Ford dealers in the nation. He later led the turnaround of Osage Industries, transforming it into one of the country’s largest ambulance manufacturers. Kehoe also served four and a half years on the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, helping improve the state’s infrastructure. As lieutenant governor, he promoted Missouri businesses, agriculture, and tourism while advocating for veterans and seniors. A first-generation farmer, Kehoe owns and operates a 700-acre cattle farm in Phelps and Pulaski counties with his wife, Claudia. They have four adult children and are proud grandparents.
