Swedish Model railway In the Technical Museum in Stockholm is, since 1960, a very nice model railway layout. This layout is built by Uno Milton. He was inspired by American model railway layouts and started to build this layout in 1948. Because he wanted realistic trains in a realistic landscape he built it himself, only the electric motors were bought. It took about 3,500 hours and seven years to build the layout. There are six different train sets, powered by electric locomotives of type Du2, Da, Hg, Ra and F. The coaches and freight cars are exactly 1 : 87 (H0-scale). These trains are powered by 12 volt DC and just in the real world get there current from overhead wire. The landscape is built of plaster, chicken wire, sawdust and fake fur. To give depth to the landscape he painted with bright colors nearby and painted with poster colors in the background
