Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal Booked For Abetment To Suicide After Engineer's Death | India Today

A probe is underway into the suicide of Ola Electric engineer K Arvind in Bengaluru, with a case of abetment to suicide registered against CEO Bhavish Agarwal and Senior Officer Subrata Kumar Das. The 38-year-old engineer, who died on September 28, left behind a 28-page handwritten note 'accusing his superiors, including Ola founder Bhavish Agarwal, of mental harassment and financial exploitation'. The investigation, initially registered as an unnatural death, took a new turn after Arvind's family found the note and questioned a suspicious transfer of ₹17.46 lakh to his bank account two days after his demise. Ola Electric has issued a statement expressing condolences and stated that the employee never raised any grievance regarding harassment and did not have direct interaction with top management.
