Singapore, an island and city-state south of Malaysia, is a global financial center with a tropical climate and a multicultural population. In the colonial center of the city lies the Pandang, which has been used as a cricket ground since the 1830s and is now surrounded by magnificent buildings such as the town hall with its 18 Corinthian columns. In the Chinese quarter of Chinatown from around 1820 is the red and gold Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, which is said to contain a tooth of the Buddha. Singapur, ein Insel- und Stadtstaat südlich vor Malaysia, ist ein globales Finanzzentrum mit einem tropischen Klima und einer multikulturellen Bevölkerung.
