Nephilim Genesis 6:4 - The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. Numbers 13:33 - And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.” This led to 40 years of waiting and wandering in the wilderness - a MASSIVE plot element in the progression of Moses’ five book story. Nāp̄îl נְפִיל nᵉphîyl, nef-eel'; or נFrom Strong - nᵉphil; from H5307; properly, a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant:—giant Anak Deuteronomy 9:2 - a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard it said, ‘Who can stand before the sons of Anak?’ Josh 15:13 - According to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the people of Judah, Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron (Arba was the father of Anak). Judges 1:20 - And Hebron was given to Caleb, as Moses had said. And he drove out from it the three sons of Anak. Hebron Genesis 13:18 - So Abram moved his tent and came and settled by the oaks of Mamre, which are at Hebron, and there he built an altar to the Lord. Genesis 23:19 - After this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah east of Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan. Joshua 10:3 - So Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, to Piram king of Jarmuth, to Japhia king of Lachish, and to Debir king of Eglon, saying, Joshua 21:13 - And to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron, the city of refuge for the manslayer, with its pasturelands, Libnah with its pasturelands 2 Samuel 2:1 - After this David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah?” And the Lord said to him, “Go up.” David said, “To which shall I go up?” And he said, “To Hebron.” 2 Samuel 5:3 - So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel. Kiriath-Arba Nehemiah 11:25 - And as for the villages, with their fields, some of the people of Judah lived in Kiriath-arba and its villages, and in Dibon and its villages, and in Jekabzeel and its villages, What were the “sons of God” in Genesis 6 ? Job 1:6 refers to angels with the phrase - Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. So does Job 2:1 - Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the Lord.
