STILL UNCATCHABLE? | Taming A Wild Horse [EP12]

I didn't want to post this video because it feels like a huge step backwards for the wild horse Tango! It took me far longer to catch him than it should have because it's lesson number 12! Normally a horse won't stand still when you approach him unless he's going to let you catch him. What was happening with tango was something very different. He would let me get really close to him and then even touch him and then bolt to the other side of the field. Once I got him in the round open, after an hour of running after him in the field, I decided to try and use his fear of being caught as way to move him around the pen. Eventually he was calmer with me approaching him and began to let me touch him. A long difficult training lesson but hopefully he comes away from this thinking that running away won't help him and that standing still and relaxing will be his best option!
