The Metra Rock Island District runs from La Salle St. station in downtown Chicago to Joliet, IL. As its name implies, this is ex Rock Island track, and is currently owned by Metra, with CSX, Iowa Interstate, and Chicago Rail Link having trackage rights on it. Unlike the Metra Milwaukee District lines, which have had most of their mechanical bells replaced by Siemens E Bells, the Rock Island District is still almost all mechanical bells. Right now, the only E bells are 2 WCH E Bells at the Hickory Creek station in Mokena. Surprisingly, two GS Type 2s that were on this line, one at Hickory Creek and one at Tinley Park, were replaced by WCH Mechanical Bells. This video will cover some of my catches from this winter along the Rock. All bells in this video are mechanical, and all four of the pedestrian crossings at the Oak Forest station will be featured. 0:00 Vine St., New Lenox, IL 12/23/18 1:25 66th Ct., Tinley Park, IL 1/24/19 2:37 Pedestrian Crossing, Tinley Park, IL 1/24/19 7:45 Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park, IL 1/24/19 10:59 Grove St., Blue Island, IL 1/27/19 14:22 Pedestrian Crossing #1, Oak Forest, IL 1/24/19 16:41 Pedestrian Crossing #2, Oak Forest, IL 1/24/19 17:34 Pedestrian Crossing #3, Oak Forest, IL 1/21/19 19:53 Pedestrian Crossing #4, Oak Forest, IL 1/24/19 23:54 Vermont St., Blue Island, IL 1/27/19 Support me on Patreon: / tommybnsf Special thanks to my Patron: David Prince Support me on Patreon: / tommybnsf
