CUTOUT HIVE CHECK 38 days, I cried inside.

Very Sad day, The Cutout hive Absconded after about 37 days. Many of them died. Some possible reasons were; Too late in the year to save a cutout colony, Weather has been terrible, several nights below freezing, Atmospheric Rivers of rain, not enough Bees to support four frames of brood. Rejection of the Hive because brood in several of the frames died. Another tuff lesson for me. This was going to be just a hive inspection to see if they needed any feed, and check the brood frames. The colony had been bringing in pollen, and young Bees were doing orientation flights sever days earlier, when the sun was out. I have been replaying events in my mind on how I could have done things differently. I can think of some things that could make the odds better next time. A sad learning experience.
