Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door celebrates the 15th anniversary of its Japanese launch today, and I decided to prepare a cover of its final boss theme to celebrate. I make no secret that this is one of my favorite games of all time, and while I realize it has its issues (the backtracking, it's the backtracking), I still think the things I like about it outweigh any issues I have. The final boss, the lore surrounding her and ESPECIALLY the music, are among those positives, and every single time I play through the game I always look forward to fighting the Shadow Queen.
