Wide of Napolitano and Lieberman ++4:3++ Ramallah 13. SOUNDBITE (English) Ghassan Khatib, Palestinian Authority spokesman: "The recent step of South Africa regarding labelling the Israeli products that are produced in Israeli illegal settlements in Palestinian occupied territories, is a very constructive and positive step, because the Israeli settlements are completely illegal, and it's built on the expense of the rights of the Palestinian people. This step will be important in taking the international position from the verbal condemnation to the Israeli settlement expansion which hasn't been taken seriously by Israeli, into accountability, practical accountability, that will hopefully make a positive effect on the Israeli public opinion and consequently on the chances of resuming a meaningful peace process." 14. Khatib picks up a document and leaves STORYLINE Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened his cabinet at Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem on Sunday as part of events for Jerusalem Day, which marks the anniversary of the 1967 Six-Day War. Ahead of the cabinet meeting, Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom commented on talks in Baghdad to be held this week on Iran's disputed nuclear programme. "We would like to believe that Iran (has) finally abandoned its dream to revive the Persian empire and to develop a nuclear power," he said. Allegations of secret work on developing nuclear weapons have compounded concerns over Iran's enrichment activities, with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) saying for the first time in November that Iran was suspected of conducting secret experiments and the sole purpose was the development of nuclear arms. In a report, it outlined suspected Iranian work on high explosives testing and detonator development to set off a nuclear charge, as well as computer model of a core of a nuclear warhead. Meanwhile, US Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is in Israel for a short visit before heading to Jordan.
