Then, the tide turned—a publisher recognized the authenticity in my depiction of this ancient city, in tales woven thick with love and longing. The story of a boy mocked for dreaming unfolded into a bestseller. What they once scorned as fantasy became a tangible success. I stood again in front of those doubters, with a book—a novel that captured the heart of Lisbon—and read aloud. Redemption was mine, not in proving them wrong, but in affirming to myself that dreams, no matter how impractical, can become the very air we breathe.
