My check engine light came on and was giving the code P0121. The code indicated that the throttle position sensor (TPS) was what to blame. After getting the new part, replacing the TPS, and performing the calibration procedure I cleared the code. This job was fairly easy to do, and the calibration was even easier. Since the repair I have driven over 1,500 miles and there not been any other issues. The throttle position sensor is locate on the passenger side of the throttle body and required me to remove the air box/intake assembly to access. Make sure to align the tab from the butterfly (throttle blade) to match the slot on the new TPS. The trickiest part of this job was installing the clips on the rear of the TPS. To perform the TPS calibration, start your vehicle and let it idle for 3 minutes, turn it off for one minute, start and let idle for 3 minutes, and turn off. Repeat this a few times if necessary. You'll know it's good when the idle returns to a low (normal) idle. Hopefully this helped you a little. Thanks for watching! -JoeFlo562 *This is for informational purposes only.
