In this episode of “Friends of Midori" we sit down with Academy Award winning director Chris Overton Starting out as a child actor, Chris’s love for filmmaking going back to shooting on a camcorder between shoots. This passion propeled him to his 2018 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for directing the breathtaking and moving short film “The Silent Child”, written by and starring his partner and creative collaborator Rachel Shenton. We met up with Chris in his hometown Stoke-On-Trent in the English Midlands where we talk about his road to the Oscars as well as the keys to making an award winning film.
