In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, the company has prepared an entire season of exciting programs and events that will include a celebration of Latin ballets in October, the traditional Nutcracker and coinciding with the 200 anniversary of famous choreographer Marius Petipa in the spring of 2018, an array of his most famous ballets to close with their participation at the International Dancers Festival in several cities in Poland, also in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Poland's independence in 2018. Under the artistic direction of Vladimir Issaev, and after their international success in Mexico, Indonesia, Peru and Cuba, the company’s impressive cast, will present a high class repertoire with affordable ticketing to continue their efforts bringing arts & culture to everyone in the community. The first program of the season, called Latin Bravura will opens the season with an exciting contemporary program featuring "Nuestros Valses" by Vicente Nebrada, Yanis Pikieri’s “Danzon”, and a new piece by Vladimir Issaev based on the movie “Vertigo” on a libretto by Baltasar Santiago Martin. The Season will continue with the traditional Nutcracker on a creative and exciting production by Vladimir Issaev with the wonderful music of Tchaikovsky. The last two programs of the season will be in celebration of the 200 anniversary of the greatest choreographer in classical ballet Marius Petipa. Both programs will present excerpts of his most famous ballets such as Harlequinade, Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, La Bayadere, Talisman, Swan Lake and Don Quixote. Don’t miss the celebration!
