12 year ago, Handelskwekerij Ubink B.V., one of the most successful family owned cactus and succulent growers in the world, was the first early adopter of a LOGIQS benching system using shuttles. From this first shuttle system we build and installed, we learned a lot of lessons, leading to countless other innovations that can be seen in our current line-up of shuttles for horticulture, vertical farming and warehouse automation. Now 12 years later, Ubink decided to upgrade the system by installing our latest version of the 1D-Shuttle. This new generation of shuttle comes with superior battery and charging capabilities leading to improved ride times and reduced charging downtime. The shuttles now have improved WIFI connection with dual antennas and also feature PLC’s instead of microcontrollers, allowing for easier remote access to the machine settings. The new robust yet lightweight design of the 1D-Shuttles is even more focused on durability and safety.
