From the #NIR4Beginners series: Transorbital View Transorbital angiographic view is an oblique antero-posterior view employed for internal carotid artery angiograms. The main advantage of transorbital view is to improve the visualization of Cavernous internal carotid artery Second branch of anterior cerebral artery Anterior communicating artery Opening the arborization angle of middle cerebral artery. To achieve the transorbital view, bring the optic foramen to the center of the orbit. This is done by moving the A-plane caudally and (ipsi)laterally.
