Introduction to User-Interface Design for Mapping Applications

This video describes the concepts of user-interface and user-experience design, as well as some specific considerations for designing mapping apps, including with the Web app templates and builders in ArcGIS Online. Designing highly effective user interfaces is crucial for improving task completion and user satisfaction and for providing a good overall user experience. This can be particularly important for mapping applications, as these may include a high degree of complexity or may be used by the public or non-GIS professionals.
