For this, several techniques can be used, one of them is the transcrestal maxillary sinus lift. 00:23 What is transcrestal sinus lift? This technique consists of first preparing the dental implant bed in the bone with the drills, reaching the cortical bone that forms the base of the maxillary sinus. With a special instrument, this cortical is fractured in a controlled way to access the sinus and the Schneiderian membrane is raised a few millimeters. The graft material is then introduced through the previously prepared orifice, compacting it slightly within the maxillary sinus.
