Make no mistake, we came to Seoul to eat. Korean food. Mostly meat. Mostly barbecue. And eat we did! Coming from the great foodie city of New York and currently living most of the year in another great foodie city, Bangkok, we have a pretty well educated palette and were blown away by the flavors of Korea. This vibrant city, known for its modern and energetic vibe, offered a feast for our senses. Seoul showcased a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, where ancient temples and palaces coexist alongside towering skyscrapers. Seoul also stood out with its’ sensible, clean, orderly, and safe environment, a stark contrast to our hometown, New York City. We also loved exploring the city's many neighborhoods, each with its own unique charm and character. From the bustling streets of Myeongdong to the back alleys of Bukchon Hanok Village; and from the back streets and alleyways teaming with cool restaurants, clubs and cafes filled with locals to the ultra luxurious and trendy Gangnam, there's something for everyone in Seoul.
