This talk explores how rising after a fall can create impact when the journey is recorded, not concealed. Drawing from life as a police officer, the speaker reflects on failures faced in moments of duty, pressure, and responsibility. In a profession where strength is expected and vulnerability is rare, documenting lessons becomes an act of courage. The talk shows how recorded experiences can turn personal setbacks into collective learning. It reminds us that impact is not just in standing up again but in leaving behind a path others can follow. Jija Hari Singh is a retired police officer. She was the first woman IPS officer (Indian Police Service) from South India. She remained in service for 36 years and retired in 2011 as Director General of Police (DGP). Her journey not only shattered glass ceilings but also became an inspiration for aspiring women in law enforcement. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
