In this video, The Most Important Kata in Taijutsu, I demonstrate a kata from Gyokko-ryu Kosshijutsu called Sanshin-no-kata. This kata is a very popular form to practice within Traditional Japanese Martial Arts Training. . The Sanshin-no-Kata is comprised of 5 forms: Chi-no-Kata (Form of Earth), Sui-no-Kata (Form of Water), Ka-no-Kata (Form of Fire), Fu-no-Kata (Form of Wind) and Ku-no-Kata (Form of Void). Each of these 5 elemental philosophies comes from the teachings of the Godai. Depending of the school and organization, the Sanshin-no-kata is also called Gogyo-no-kata. Because there are so many variations of this kata, I am demonstrating the kata as taught here, at the Budo Ryu Kai. .
