Journey with us through the expansive suburb of Durbanville to the City of Cape Town CBD and see us approaching the iconic Table Mountain. Starting on Durban Road we opted for an alternative to the N1 highway which took us on Jip de Jager, down Lover's Lane, where we got onto the N1 at Plattekloof. The infamous Lover's Lane (Uys Krige Dr) looks out onto the city and its surrounding suburbs and features a magnificent view of Table Mountain. As the name suggests, it is a popular spot to look out over the city lights with your romantic partner. From this viewpoint you can also see airplanes approaching the Cape Town International Airport in the distance. Turning into Cape Town, we drive down Adderley street, considered the main street of Cape Town's downtown business district. The Cape Town Train Station is on Adderley Street. We end our drive adjacent to the Company Gardens which was created in the 1650s and is the oldest garden in South Africa.
