The best offense + strongest defense Cinder is capable of shielding 10 troops. I had 9 human infantries + Surge =10. If you got enough people on your map, you can distract the Tyrannies from disabling your heroes. Even at level 1, Cinder's "Valor" skill can make the infantries high tier, creating a strong defense early in the game. If Cinder gets disabled by a Tyranni, her Valor Shield still keeps protecting the infantries. By making a triage of infantry defense, I can shuffle the troops to an area that needs to be strengthened. The Vanguard's EMP grenades can disable the Behemoth's energy shield which makes them a lot softer to kill once they start charging. I placed Vanguards at the lower right defense line, because this is where most Behemoths attack. By placing the infantries on the top, I was able to traffic the creeps early and thin them with shotgun before they could even get to the lower left defense line.
