Corresponding OCT from Nidek RS-3000 SD-OCT machine and Humphrey Visual Field 24-2 from the same patient. Dynamic video of Optic nerve Pit showing retinal blood vessels dipping into pit. The optic nerve pit, is thought to be caused by incomplete closure of superior portion of the embryonic fissure. No treatment in necessary, unless patient develops serous detachment of the macula.
