Family trauma can cause a lot of damage within a family. Identifying an unstable mother can be difficult because most online spaces DO NOT talk about parents who need help. I have a difficult time creating videos like this, much less the rest of the field of psychology. We have been conditioned, by societal standards, to reverence ALL parents. While I agree adult children should respect and reverence their parents, I DO NOT believe this theory includes ALL parents -- especially those parents who cause family trauma. An unstable mother who could care less about you as someone they have brought into this world can de-stabilize you too. The family trauma they create often ends up negatively impacting you.
