In this video I show how to separate a clump of chives (Allium schoenoprasum) into numerous new plants. This method is useful if you want to increase your number of plants, but is also helpful for established plants as it will reinvigorate them. I use a couple of different techniques in this video to show that it can be as simple as cutting the plant in half if you just want to split your plant into two, or you can individually separate each chive plant if you want to rapidly increase your number of plants.
