Here's a short video documenting the ice storm that hit the Montreal region on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 into Thursday the next day. Up to 30 millimetres of freezing rain fell on the city. There was also heavy winds this morning up to 80 km/h. In the first few clips of the video, we see the ice storm as it was around the late afternoon / early evening. There is some scenes outside the Place-Saint-Henri metro station. The main clip shows a walk around the downtown core, specifically near Central Station / Gare Centrale and the Bell Centre later that night. This video was filmed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 throughout the day and night.
