Being told by your healthcare provider that you are facing amputation can be a frightening prospect for some, and a relief for others. This greatly depends on the reason behind needing an amputation. The term 'elective amputation' is used to describe a planned surgical procedure and it often seems odd using the word 'elective,' especially when some members of the community do not actually want the procedure to happen. ‪@Limbs4Life‬ are creating a series of videos that cover a broad range of topics to help amputees through their journey.
