Date filmed: 13/10/2021 Videos filmed at: 17:57 | 18:06 Route: Welsh Marches Line Between Craven Arms and Church Stretton Stations Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barriers crossing (MCB) Location: B4370, Marshbrook Trains: Lowering 1 (Starts at 0:00): Class 175 (Transport for Wales) - 1:22 Manchester Piccadilly ➡ Milford Haven - Lowering 2 (Starts at 2:16): Class 153 (Transport for Wales) - 4:05 Swansea ➡ Shrewsbury A level crossing found within the small hamlet of Marshbrook on the Welsh Marches Line within the Shropshire Hills. It is controlled from the signal box next to it, is protected by Semaphore signals and most notably has a very rare set of lights. This wigwag / road traffic light takes the design of a typical vertical traffic light head, but with the location of the green module replaced with a second red module. This set of lights is the last remaining set of lights of this kind on the mainlines outside of private ports, heritage railways and industrial estates. There are four other normal sets of lights to go with this, making 5 in total. Accompanying these are two loud and old-looking alarms, the one located underneath the unique traffic light-style set of lights sounds with a squeaky tone. Thanks for watching!
