Behind The Rocks Ultra Marathon - 50k - Part 3 of 3 in Conquering The Triple Crown of Moab
The Behind the Rocks Ultra Marathon held in Moab, UT put on by Madmoose events is the final event in the Triple Crown of Moab. The Triple Crown of Moab is completing three of madmoose's events in one year and gives you the option of choosing three events from Dead Horse Ultra, Arches, Ultra, Red Hot Ultra, and Behind the Rocks Ultra. The cool thing is that you can choose any distance and for any race and still be considered a finisher. For myself I wanted to do three Ultra distances in three months so I choose the do all at the 50k (31 miles) distance. I choose Arches Ultra, Red Hot Ultra, and Behind the Rocks Ultra. And each of them where surprisingly unique for being in the same area. I think that is because Moab is a very unique place. I mean the place has 2 separate national parks, which is by the way a great thing to do before or after the race or somewhere to send your family while you run the race. So come along with me on this final run of the triple crown and get a preview of what it's like in this beautiful landscape and why it keeps me coming back for more!
