Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Smooth Ride 31 inch to 40 inch Long Transom Saver. Now this is a support bracket, that'll protect the transom, the motor, and your steering components of your boat from any shock and vibration while it's being towed. This basically will attach to the trailer frame and it extends out to support your boat's outboard motor. It is great for 150 horse motors and larger. Now this type of support will be more effective than your boat's standard tilt-lock feature. Which wasn't specifically designed to deal with the stresses of road travel. This uses a spring-loaded head, which will support the motor while cushioning against any shock and vibration. And the shaft right here, you can see it is adjustable. This telescoping shaft can adjust to match the distance between the trailer and the motor. It is a nice corrosion-resistant construction. You can see this section right here is a nice high-strength aluminum. Which is rustproof. And then the stainless steel insertion shaft provides reinforcement. Now it does come with this 15 inch long rubber strap with the hooks on the end. This will help hold the motor to minimize movement. The dimension on that strap is 15 inches long, three quarters of an inch wide and about a quarter of inch thick. Now to install this, there's two options for a nice, fast, easy installation. You can see this one we have set up right now has an over-the-roller bracket here that will attach to the center roller underneath your boat. And then this portion's what will attach to your motor. The other way is they include this quick-release bolt-on bracket. Which you'll take this off, put this on there, and it'll allow you to bolt it to the trailer frame itself. Again, you can see it is adjustable. You just move it for your application. The telescoping length, when it's fully retracted, is 31 inches. Fully extended, it's 40 inches. When it's collapsed, it's about 31 inches long. And this is about an inch square. But that should do it for the review on this Smooth Ride 31 inch to 40 inch long Transom Saver..
