Each level features multiple rooms, elevators, and dangerous alien lifeforms evolving in real time. You must choose one of nine unique characters – humans, mutants, and even strange duck-headed doctors – each distinguished by color and screen position. Collect weapons, restore health with items, and decide your strategy: destroy all aliens, trigger the self-destruct for bonus points, or escape before time runs out. Xenos evolve from pods into critters, then Rollerbabies, and eventually deadly Snotterpillars. Higher difficulties add Festors that hypnotize players and spawn more aliens.
