Fly Fishing at Berry Springs Park | Georgetown, TX

The Berry Creek Bass is, what I suspect to be [I’m not a biologist of any kind], a hybrid of the native spotted bass from east Texas mixed with some genetics of the Florida largemouth bass that was introduced to Texas fisheries in the 1970s. I call it the Berry Creek bass simply because I was fishing in Berry Creek north of Georgetown, Texas. The best access to this creek is from [Free to the Public] Berry Springs Park and Preserve where there are activities for a whole family with kids including hiking, fishing, birdwatching, a play scape for children, and donkeys that you can buy special treats for [don’t feed them anything else].
