A poignant, Caretaker-esqe soundscape produced by a custom-made tape machine mellotron, sets the perfect scene for a song that has a pop visage and a darker interior, with the band’s lyrics drawing from an existential letter written by Fanny Burney. Meanwhile, director Alena Lodkina weaves double exposures right before our eyes, evoking the fleeting nature of experience and indeed, the passage of time.
