#bankura #hadalnarayanpur #narayanpuramandir Narayanpur is a small village in Patrasayer Block in Bankura District. Narayanpur is one of the important place in Bengal's Heritage map. There are numerous terracotta temples built by Local Mandal Family. Mandal family has a great mansion and a unique Rasmancha. The family is now divided in 3 "tarafs". All the "tarafs" has a Terracotta Damodar Temple. They worship Lord Krishna there. All the temples are approx 300 years old and hold a great historical significance. Mandal Family was close to the Malla Rajas of Bishnupur. Apart from Heritage, the village has 3 rivers nearby. Most part of the river has dried but the village has it's own charm. Green fields will attract you, you can also watch birds there. Green Bee Eater is a common spot. Around 11 KMs from Narayanpur, there is a tribal village "Birsingh". Birsingh has a large forest area. You can drive in the forest and enjoy the beauty there. How to Reach: If you catch a Howrah-Bardhaman Chord line local, then get down at Masagram. From Masagram take a train to Bankura. Get down at Dhagariya, Narayanpur is just 4-5 KMs from the station. You can also come by Car via Bardhaman, Narayanpur is around 150 KMs from Kolkata. Where to stay: There are no hotels near Narayanpur, you can stay at Sonamukhi. That is the nearest town. Where to eat: There are not many eateries near Narayanpur, some small roadside hotels can be found with normal meals.
