Cannabis Benchmarks U.S. Spot Index Report for June 20, 2025 The U.S. Spot Index decreased by 1.3% to $1,082 per pound this week. Pricing for bulk cannabis flower transactions in California increased nearly 13% this week, lifting the California Cannabis Spot Index up 11.8% per pound. The state composite price movement was mainly impacted by a 3.7% price rise for greenhouse flower and a 6.9% increase in outdoor flower prices. The continued erosion of outdoor grown flower prices pushed the Michigan Cannabis Spot Index down 2.4% per pound this week. There are no indications that the price for outdoor flower in the state will make any significant gains in the near-term, as a surplus of inventory remains and cultivators attempt to recoup anything they can get for sungrown product. The New York Cannabis Spot Index has been slowly rising as we officially enter summer, and with most of the licensed canopy belonging to outdoor cultivation operations, over 70% of the licensed canopy by our estimations, wholesale prices for outdoor flower dominate the state market. Outdoor grown cannabis flower prices in New York are the highest in the country and competing on the same price levels as warehouse and mixed light grown flower products.
