NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED Operating as the 'Magic Lamp Inn' on Route 66 in Rancho Cucamonga, California, it is a mind-blowing, lovingly preserved time capsule. Fine dining, cocktails, live entertainment, banquet rooms, a sumptuous interior with white table cloths, red vinyl booths, and generous food portions complete with a relish-tray for each table. A memorable dining experience, to say the least. It has been over 30 years since I traveled Route 66 from California in my 1959 Cadillac but visiting places that still survive all of these years later such as the '*Magic Lamp Inn' makes me long for those simpler times back then. Eric Wittman was my traveling partner on the 1993 and 1994 road trips, which were a couple of priceless highlights from our 36-year friendship. We're fortunate to be able to continue to make more memories along that famous highway. Anthony Reichardt Santa Ana, California June 2025 Nick D'Egidio, the singer at the Magic Lamp Inn, was an impressive talent with a slick and hip style as close to Frank Sinatra that anyone could possibly get. The music behind him was not a cheezy karaoke set up but actual backing tracks of a big band that were recorded at the Capitol Tower in Hollywood. His presence there really brought the dining room to life and was so fitting for that historic locale.
